2008 Dodge Viper clearing trouble codes

2008 Dodge Viper Two Wheel Drive Manual 800 miles

I installed an after market exhaust, the check engine light came on right away at start-up.
" My question is HOW can I clear the code or retreive the code information?

Retrieve the code and record it then clear the code and if the same code come back on
check the system u have installed
if its related to the codes
(you may just voided your warranty )
post the code here

OK
you need an OBDII reader
cheep enough if you like to buy one
they are available on line (e bay or so )

or you can visityour local part store (like auto zone)
they can scan it for free

I was told from a Viper Club forum member that a OBDll reader won't work on the 08's. I can not verfiy that though.

Its a federal law I think every car made on and after 1996 it has to be obd ready
sold in the USA
but then again every thing is possible

Yes read codes, it came on right after exhaust work? Probably o2sensor codes may have been damaged or eliminated from custom exhaust. O2 simulators are available
