2004 Dodge Van crazy speedometer

When i turns on my van is fine bur when I put any gear the speedometer gets so crazy and then gets back normal and after driving it over half hour the ABS light turns on and if I turns off the engine and then turn it on back, it ok, What can i check?

Have you had the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) tested?
