How do you tighten the serpentine belt on a 2002 b2500 dodge ram van with a 318? I have the new belt on but theres still slack in it & I dont know how to make it tighter. I tried starting it & its running but the heat isnt working so i'm not sure if its because theres too much slack in the belt or what. I just know it has to be tightened. I have it on there right according to the picture diagram so i'm not sure what the problem is. Someone told me there might be a screw on one of the pullys but I couldnt find it. Do you know what I need to do to fix this? Thanks!

There's a spring-loaded tensioner pulley. It's the farthest pulley toward the passenger side of the engine. Chances are the belt is not routed correctly. It's easy to do. You should have had to twist the pulley arm to get the old belt loose.

There should be a routing diagram on the body showing the belt routing.
