This is a 2002 Dodge 2500 van with a 318 engine. I have installed plugs, wires, rotor, distributor cap, crank position sensor, oil presser sending unit and the dealer installed a new coil. The van stalls after it has run for a while (because it is hot?) and then will not start until some time has gone buy. Sometimes the gauges go crazy like the oil pressure gauge dropping to zero. Sometimes it runs fine for a while and sometimes it bucks and runs bad or just stops. Thankful for any help.

Has anyone checked the fuel pressure? Also, I believe the oil pressure, if it drops to 0 PSI, will shut the engine off. Finally, and what I think is the problem with the engine, have the ambient temp sensor checked. It is what tells the computer the outside temp and the coolant temp so the computer knows how rich or lean to make the air / fuel mixture. If it tells the computer that it is -40, basically the engine will flood out causing bucking first.

Let me know.

Joe
PS: MAke sure the wiring harness to the PCM is clean and tight.
