Hi I have a 1994 dodge b250 v-6 3.9. Ok my van had problmes starting no spark some times it had it some times it didnt. So I replaced the coil the coil pick up. So thats worked for 1 month then it started again so I thought it was my inition but if I leave the key in the on position for 1 min then I can here the fule relayes starting to click. Its start out really low then they get loarder faster and then they slow down and on the finaly click then I can start the van. So I replaced both of the fule relays and it didnt help. When the van is running for 15-20 min it will start up all day on the first time no waiting. But the next morning the same thing. Its driving me NUTS PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME.

Hi cowboyz670,

Thank you for the donation.

The clicking from the relay indicates either a fault with the relay or its controling circuit.

As relay have been replaced, that would rule it out as the cause.

At ignition coil, test the Dark Green/Orange wire for battery voltage with ignition switch turned on and while cranking. If voltage is not stable, it could be a fault with the alternator which provides the power.

Check all ground circuit connections for contaminations and looseness. Remove and clean them to ensure proper conductivity.

Check the auto shutdown relay.

If above fails, it could mean a failing PCM that is intermittently not grounding the relay and other circuits.

Ok the alternator charges the battery and gives power I know that but what does that have to do with fuel relays and no spark? Can it be like a ceck vale leaking or a crack sensor? I have new alt. New coil new coil pick up

For leaking valves and faulty sensors, the fuel relay would not be clicking at ignition switch ON.

One of the alternator circuit controls the fuel relay and if it is intermittently failing, it would cause the non statring.

Was this problem present before replacement of the alternator?
