I have a 2001 Dodge 1/2 ton with a 318 V8. It was working fine, then I went to go to work and it was dead. If you give it gas while you are turning the key, it will start and continue running while your foot is on the gas. If you let off the gas it immediatly dies. What could this be and how can I fix it? Thank you for any help you can give me!

is there any trouble codes, i would go with a possible TPS or IAC controll sensor, but also the engien can be running lean due to bad O2 and MAF and coolant temp sensor.

do you notice it only when cold or monring starts or does it still presist right after shutting it off nad trying to restart it?

I don't know about codes, but the truck was running fine untill 3 days ago I noticed a leak and traced it back to the freeze plug. so I replaced it. Everything was fine for 2 days then I went to go to work and it would not start. it will not start unless you give it gas and when you let off it dies. It will not run at all unless you do this.
