Hello,
I am in the process of replacing the stock air intake system in my 2002 Dodge 3500 Diesel(128,000 miles) with a K&N free flow system. It is required that I remove the air flow indicator from the stock skystem and installing it onto the new K&N filter. My question is how to safely remove the indicator and groment without any harm done to it? Thank you very much for your helo and would be very pleased to support this forum.

Typically the air flow sensors that use a gromment just pull out and the gromment can be contorted inward to get it out. You may want to post a pic however.
