Engine Performance problem
2007 Dodge Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

Hello My truck is acting funny.When I am driving off from a stop.When I start to pick up speed the truck sound and feels like the TB is being chocked out.It loose power for a second or two then I have step on it to pick up power.I have no CEL coming on or anything what could it be .This is getting on my nerves or should i say a pain in the $$$!!!.Please help me thanks ahead of time,,,,,,marc

Is the engine missing under a load? Have you checked fuel pressure? How many miles are on the truck?

No it doesn't miss fire or back fire ...I only have 24000 miles on my truck.I did notice it is burning rich because my tail pipe inside the tip is very black with black powder in it..so what could it be ..Could i need a tune up already.or should i clean my TPS and TB

At 24K it shouldn't need a tune up. If the truck is running rich, it is an emissions problem and the truck has a 5 year 50K mile 100% warranty on emissions. Take it to a dealer and see what they say.
