The truck has a Cummins diesel. I took it in for repair because the engine would rev up when comming to a stop. Then the truck would lunge forward was the brake was released. Also when shifting into reverse, after driving forward, there would be a clunk sound probably because of the high engine rev.
The dealer diagnosed the problem as the Torque Converter. After the Torque Converter was replaced, I was told that the Electronic Control Module needs to be replaced. I am wondering if the original diagnosis should have been the Electronic Control Module and there may not have been a problem with the Torque Converter.

See the clanging to be blamed at the converter
RPM and others I would suspected module or other issue
they should’ve been up front with you
but this is what happens some times you need to fix one to discover the other
know if the symptom still the same without any difference I would be question their ability
good luck
