Diesal, Start's in the morning, but as the day goes on it won't start. Crank's over but won't fire. Startes on either. No codes, 8psi fuel presure between filter and pump. Sometimes starts fine. Help!

Hi:

I have to do more research, but 8lbs doesn't sound right to me. I was thinking more like 15. I will try to find it for you, but if you know someone at the local dealership, they may get you a quicker answer.

I'll let you know what I find. Let me know if you find out before I do. Finally, when you checked the fuel pressure, was it during a time the truck wouldn't start?

I think I seen 8-10 someplace. It will hold 8-10 during cranking. It will go below 5 during heavy acceleration Run's good after starting

Hi:
According to google, 10 PSI is normal. Now I have a stupid question for you. You said you checked the pressure between the pump and filter. Does it loose any after the filter? I realize that you most likely already know to check the filter, but since I'm not there, I don't want to assume.

Hi:

I'm sorry, but I'm not there to look. Therefore, I suggest you take it to a mechanic for the location. I wish I could help you better, but the miles between us stops that.

Good Luck,
Joe
