2003 Dodge Truck camshaft pin

2003 Dodge Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 2003 dodge ram 2500 5.7 hemi, the cam shaft pin snapped can i just replace it by tapping a new one in or is there more steps to take ( i drilled the old one out)

Just pop the new pin in and sail off into the sunset!

By the way, how did you diagnose this problem so quickly? Did the engine stop running or just start running poorly?

The engine completely shut down, at first i thought either the timing chain broke or it jumped time, but after i tore everything apart to look at the timing chain, it did jump time but the cahin was tight and it looked in pretty good condition, so i took off the cam sprocket and i saw the pin snapped off.
