2002 Dodge Truck whining noise

I believe the a/c pump is making a whining noise. I replaced the alternator, since it was original w/ truck, but still hearing the noise. The noise gets louder when the RPM's go up.Do you think the A/c pump is going bad? The air blows good and cold.
