2002 Dodge Truck very bad shake

when i go over ridges or bumps in the road the truck sometimes shakes violently to the point where i have to pull off the road what can i do to fix this thx

I would start by checking all steering components. It sounds like there is something loose or worn.

Oil is leaked out of the steering damper.
