I have replaced both the battery and the alternator. When I get the truck started the battery charge guage is in the middle. It slowly drains down and shuts the engine down. The NAPA guy told me it may be a faulty relay. There are quite a few relays under the fuse box. Which one would be the likely culprit. Also it will only start with a short burtst of starting fluid. I know I should not do this but it is cold up here in NY. Please help!

You probably have a short within the electrical system that's draining the battery- Get the alternator and battery load tested again.

Be advised that the computer controls the field generation of the alternator might want to check it.
