my dodge dakota overheated yesterday to the point it shut off. today it will not start. the fuel pump will not come on and there is no fuel pressure. after switching the truck on, the odometer flashes and then gives a message of "no bus". the volt meter only shows 8 amps even with a battery charger connected.

Are you sure the battery is producing 12+ volts under a load? Also, the nobus indicates there is a bad connection between computers. Something may have melted if it was that hot. Check connections to computers.
