I have a diesel 5.9 cummins it will start but when i push on the fuel pedal it does nothing. The RPMs do not increase. Is this a throttle body problem? Is there anyway to test the throttle body?

Throttle bodies are a gas engine thing. Diesels use injector pumps and direct injection. Is it cold enough that the fuel could be gelled?

I've heard the lift pump could cause this problem. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable will add a reply.
