1997 Dodge Truck Front passenger locked up!

While turning a corner at about 5-10 mph my front passenger side tire locked up, and will not turn! When I try to drive it the tire just skids. I know that it isn't the brakes. I compressed the caliper where the brakes were loose and the axle still would'nt turn!
