1996 Dodge Truck Fuel gauge

Sometimes the fuel gauge works and sometimes it does not. Could this be the fuel level float in the gas tank it self?

Could be and could be dash gague. Does it always show full on fill up then start to spaz as fuel is used? If yes then tank sender is culprit.
