my 95 dodge pick up starts up fine,idles fine,but when put it into drive and drive down the road it seems to back fire through the carb.,,,? almost like a pop corn maker?,,,I tried dry gas, spray cleaning carb I have know idea what this could be? I dont want to take it in if its a simple fix ,I tried to make sure all wires are tight on dist cap,and plugs. I dont get it,

Welcome to the forum. Did you check valve timing and spark timing? Are there any trouble codes? Possible vacuum leak?
