1987 Dodge Truck what is wrong with my truck

my truck has a noise in all gears while giving it gas or maintaning highway speed. But if I come off the gas or push in the clutch it stops until I either engage clutch or get back on the throttle

Replace the clutch assembly

Check the u-joints too.

trans brngs could cause your problem. does noise change when in 4th gear, or when you gooff on the gas ????
