1986 Dodge Truck alternator

My 1986 dodge truck will not hold a charge,it has a 318 v8,I took the alternator off the truck to have it checked,it checked out but,then replaced the starter,voltage regulator,and have checked all fuses,replaced the battery and still nothing!!Can anyone help before i take a ball bat to the truck.

Hi there,

Have the battery charged and get a load test done, this is the only true way to test the battery, also get your mechanic to do a current draw test to see if there is any current leakage that will be discharging the battery, often a faulty diode in the alternator will cause this, but the trick is the alternator will still charge as well, have this tested.
