1984 Dodge Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I HAVE A 1984 DODGE 250 ROYAL PROSPECTOR THAT ABRUPTLY LOST REVERSE GEAR. NO PRIOR SLIPPAGE OR PROBLEMS. 1ST GEAR AND ALL FORWARD GEARS WORK FINE. SUGGESTIONS FOR FIX OR DIAGNOSIS?

there are two bands on that transmission that are adjustable from the outside it will be the forward ban it will have a big locknut on it you can't miss it, loosen up the band not in with your fingers tightened up the band and back off 1/2 turn then tighten the nut. try that and see if it helps.
