1984 Dodge Truck Altinator & Battery

1984 Dodge Truck V8 Four Wheel Drive Manual 143K miles

I have installed both of these parts NEW and still have the same problem... will not charge!!! Is there a voltage regulator or some other item I need to replace as part of this? Thanks

The charging system has an external voltage regulator the 2 dark green wires on the alternator connector to goes to the regulator.
