Electrical problem
1976 Dodge Truck V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic

my truck has trouble starting. Sometimes it starts other time it wont hit a lick. When it doesnt turn over there is no power inside cab. Checked battery. Its good. Cleaned terminals, bought new relay. Like I said sometime it starts but when it doesnt theres no power in cab; no headlights, cab light, dash lights. Help! Its my truck for work. Could be a ground somewhere? Where do I start?

Use a test light to follow the red battery cable to the bulkhead connector. Not sure which relay you replaced, but that doesn't make sense if there's no power in the cab.

You can also try wiggling the wire harnesses while watching the headlights. I would first suspect a corroded splice in the red battery wire that goes to the bulkhead connector, or a corroded terminal in that connector.
