I have a 2001 stratus r/t and I have no problems whatsoever. Just did a recent tune up and now when I turn the a/c or heat on the engine idle surges up and down a few times then stalls. Any replies would be greatly appreciated.

Have the idle air control valve and throttle positioning sensor check.

Well I agjusted the screw on the throttle body and it now idles fine when I turn the a/c on. The compensation is correct. Thank you for your help. What is that screw? Is it the lean mixture screw? And if so why doesnt it effect idle during normal operation w/out a/c on?

When the computer sees an AC signal it commands the IACV to raise the rpm to compensate for the AC load. You might also want to take out the IACV and clean it/passages to include the throttle body/plate.

The screw is the idle adjusting screw-it only adjusts for minimun air only.
