2005 Dodge Stratus Oil pressure light

The oil light came on recently, so I took it in for a change. It has been about 12 days, and the light continues to come on when the car is idleing. When pressure is applied to the gas the light goes off. Major problem?

Check the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge if normal replace the oil pressure sending unit abnormal could mean oil pump and engine bearings.
