2005 Dodge Stratus chips in hood

bought my first car, the front hood has small chips in it from "little pebbles on a highway" and i need to know what to do because i don't know if they will rust.

Eventually they will rust. It may take a long time. The only thing you can try is either get some touch up paint (small bottle with brush) at a parts store that matches the color, or have it repainted. Keep in mind, no matter what you do, if you drive the car it will happen again.
