2004 Dodge Stratus Troubleshoot Transmission

My car was driving fine until I noticed, a week ago, a fluttering coming from my transmission. Since then the fluttering stopped. However, I can now move the car slowly and carefully in "Drive". The car will not move in reverse. If I raise the engine too quickly there is a momentary grinding noise. Also, there are no apparent leaks, and my "engine" light now stays on. What should I do?

unfortunately i think if there is no reverse then there is internal damage and will need rebuilding. if it was electrical problem you would still have reverse.
