I recently replaced my fan blower resister. The fan now works fine but I only received heat when I hold down the accelerator. This is a pain in the morning as I have to freeze my butt off in Duluth holding down the pedal part way in order to defrost my windows. I didn't have this problem prior to replacing the resistor.

Hi:
Is the fan running all the time? Is the coolant full? Does the engine reach normal operating temp?

Honestly, the most common problem is low coolant. The increase in RPM's helps circulate the coolant you have thus making heat.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Joe
