2004 Dodge Stratus ENGINE MALFUNCTION

ENGINE MISFIRES AT MULTIPLE CYLINDERS. THE BACK THREE (AGAINST FIRE WALL) ARE CLEAN, THE FORWARD THREE ARE ALL SUDDY AS IF "LOADING UP". "CHECK ENGINE" IS ON AND CAR HAS VERY LOW POWER. WAS TOLD THAT PLUGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED TWICE AND COILS WERE ALSO CHECKED.

Go to Autozone its a free public service and have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on

Have already gone to Autozone-used to work there a few years ago. That is where we got the multiply clylinder misfire information.

1. Defective spark plug
2. Inadequate spark/coil, defective spark plug wire.
3. Lack of compression
4. False air leakage.
5. Faulty fuel injectors.
6. Insufficient fuel pressure.
7. Contaminated fuel.
8. EGR valve that is leaking.
9. Oxygen sensors.
10. Throttle position sensor.
11. Idle air control valve.
