When I put my key in the ingnition it won't turn (no matter what I try) until I hit the key. I hit it like I'm trying to push it further into the ingnition.

I tried my spare key and it won't work at all.

Could this be dirt? If so How do I make it work better?

If not durt then what is going wrong?

Sounds like the pins in the ignition key switch are sticking. Spray some (not WD40) silicone spray or white lithium grease into the key hole, and see if that helps.
