I would like to know if the engine has gone bad on my car. I was driving it down the street when it just turned off on it's own and it hasn't started since. the only warning i had was the oil light and it started overheating a little. How long did I run it after this started happening might be a question that I would be asked and it was about 5- 10 minutes. the oil level on the car is good, because i just had an oil change, and i don't see any water in the oil dip stick.
please let me know what you can suggest I do?

Thanks,

I would first check your timing belt. If TB is in good condition, check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail (about 45 psi) for fuel pump operation.
