Interior problem
2002 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic
My 2002 Dodge Stratus had been overheating for a few days. At first only when I had the car running but not pressing on the gas. Then after a few days it started overheating even while I was pressing on the gas. A few days ago the headgasket blew and it isn't turning on anymore. So here's my question...mechanics want to charge me $800. My husband (who has fixed many cars) thinks he should be able to do it and save us the money. However, he wants to make sure where the head gasket is located? Is it under the engine and would he have to remove engine?
