How do I go about changing a rear upper shock support?

Are you refering to the strut tower or strut plate? If the tower is rusted, you'll need to see a body shop. If it's the plate, unbolt the strut assembly to remove it and replace the bad part. NOTE: Support the body of the car. The strut is what holds the vehicle up.
