Battery light came on the night before. headlights and dash lights were still bright. The next day, radio lights starts flickering and car dies shortly after. Get jumped and turns over immediately, battery light still on. Ran for awhile just died. This time the dash lights and alam still functioned. Few months ago replaced ac compressor. Other than that no electrical problems. Oh! battery was replaced three years ago, but I didn't experience this issue. Is it the battery or alternator, perhaps both?

That light is telling you the alternator is not working.
