Engine Performance problem
1999 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

i was driving and all of a sudden my car stopped accelarating while I was on the road. I pulled over and tryed to restart the car but it wouldent restart the battery wasnt dead. I can still hear the engine trying to turn on but it wouldent do you have any idea on what might have happened

Check list :
check fuses and relays
check for fuel and fuel pressure
check for spark
check timing belt
I would suspect timing belt and or fuel pump
need to check 1st
