Actually this question pertains to heat as well as a/c. The vents on the dash that face you will not blow any warm or cold air. If you choose that option with the selector, it does not change and the air just blows out the defrost vent and the floor vent.

You are looking for a vacuum leak. The vent actuators are run by vacuum. If there is a leak, this is what happens. Check under the dash for disconnected or broken hoses. Also, with this many miles, check under the hood, especially where the vacuum hose comes through the firewall for leaks. Many times the small plastic hoses will break or melt and create a leak. NOTE: With the engine running, you may be able to hear a hissing sound where there is a leak.

Let me know what you find.
