Shakes or Wobbles problem
1996 Dodge Stratus 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 133k miles

Steering wheel shakes, car also shakes when idle in drive stopped at a light, much better in neutral, if it is the mounts how would I know which one of the three, I replaced the dog mount at 60k miles. The a/c on or off does not make any difference, thank you Declan.

Not sure exactly when your getting that steering wheel shake but if it's while driving, then the first thing you want to do is balance the tires.

As for your vibration when sitting in drive, that would likely be weak motor mounts. Don't try to determine which one. They will all be weak so just change them all.
