1996 Dodge Stratus heater control

I have just bought the car and the heater control dont want to change from defrost to the feet etc...So i look at the motor switch under dash and its working. if i put pressure on it but dont want to move by itself.The control seem to move freely.Is it the control motor that i have to replace . Thanks...

Before replacing the actuator, have you checked for vacuum leaks?
