I need to replace the driver's side rear view mirror. How do I remove the door pannel

No need to remove the door panel. All you do is pry the "triangle" piece, inside the the door - opposite of the mirror. Once that trim piece is off, undo the 3 screws, detach the wiring clip and install is reverse.
