someone from the back seat had pulled hard enough to break something on the pivot side of the seat. it's where the pivot bolt meets the bottom pan. i need to know how the seat back is joint to the bottom even though the pivot bolt is still intact. is there a bracket that is welded or something to the bottom pan? if you have a diagram of both top and bottom metal components and how they are joined it would be very helpful

Your best bet is a used seat from a junkyard...you would need to remove the seat from the car, remove the upolstery, and weld the broken metel...
