1991 Dodge Stealth Degreased the engine

1991 Dodge Stealth 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual

I have recently degreased the engine and now i am hearing the alternator whine. I know its not the belts or the pulleys.
Will this go away eventually. It was quiet before the engine was cleaned

Not supposed to get degreaser or water in alt. You probably got rectrifer bridge wet and your hearing a diode whine. May dryout in time. Check alt output if good and no weird running problems turn up your good.
