I have a 1991 Dodge Stealth ES 24V DUAL overhead cam. ( MItsubishi) that shows a bad code for the Distributor (crank angle sensor). We have replaced the distributor twice and still having the same problem. The car runs great for 20-30 seconds and than starts backfiring. We sent the E.C.U. off to get checked out and it come back with no problems. My mechanic thinks the new distributors are bad. I don't think that all three ( original plus 2 new ones) could be bad. We are still getting the codes that the distributor is bad. The car is timed dead on and we have relaced the fuel pump also. I purchased the car brand new and it is a garaged car and well taken care of. Anything would be of use.

Thank You,
Mlook.
