MY FUEL PUMP WENT OUT ON MY CAR.....A GARAGE SHOP RECOMMENDED THAT I PURCHASE A PUMP THROUGH THE DEALER INSTEAD OF A STORE? IS THAT TRUE? I KNOW A AUTOZONE WHERE I CAN PURCHASE ONE FOR CHEAPER. YET I CARE ABOUT THE QUALITY OF MY CAR....ITS THE ONLY ONE I HAVE....BUT IF THE QUALITY WILL BE THE SAME I RATHER SAVE MONEY....WHATS A REASONABLE AMOUNT FOR A FUEL PUMP

you definitely want to go with dealer replacement on a fuel pump. the cheaper brands sold by local auto part stores tend to burn out prematurely in just a couple of years. will probably cost a few hundred dollars..
