1995 Dodge Spirit heater leaks

i live in florida and do not need my heater and cannot afford $1000 to replace heater core. how do i bypass the heater and do the work myself?

Disconnect the heater hose on the heater core and joint both together with a coupling/smal plastic tube that will fit the ID of the hose
