Hi- I just replaced my front brake pads and rotors and realized on the drivers side there's an anti-rattle clip which I tried to put on as best I can remember but I'm not feeling too confident that I put it on right.   Is that clip important to the function of the pads and brakes,   and does it keep them from dragging or binding or is it pretty much unnecessary?   I did drive the car after the repair and it runs and brakes excellently.   Should I have a mechanic re-examine my job and tell me if I need that clip repositioned or is it unnecessary?   Thanks!   Dr. Robb

its not your safety only but the people around you
you do not sound very convinced you did the job to your our satisfaction
I would have a tech check it out
