we had a mechanic install a new heater core and a new
thermostat we had heat before the parts were installed
he also put the antifreeze in but we no longer have heat

did you try to go back and ask the tech who did the work for you
I would after spending all that $$$$
i better have heat !!!
check heater control valve
and the vacuum line

i belive you may have a air bubble lodged in the cooling system, it should be bled of air, take it back to your mechanic and have them bleed it.
