I have a 91 spririt and it died out one day and i figured out it wasnt getting fuel so i tryed changing the fuel filter but that didnt help so then i decided to check the wireing to the fuel pump so i took all the rear seats out and found a nest from an animal cleaned it all up. theres 5 wires that run trough there that go to the pump/sending unit. they were chewed up so i replaced all the wiring and the car still wont start. I checked all the wries running through there 3 have ground 2 have power with key on. Ther pump doesn't make any noise when turned on. I was wondering if it has to be the pump thats bad? or if theres anything else i would be able to check first?

thanks
Dan

Check for power right at the pump also check the connector where the wires meet the metal housing for the pump they rust

and if all good replace fuel pump
