Where is the linkage loacated at and how do you check if it's bad. how do you tighten it up

Which linkage? The both(engine and trans) are cables that run from a control lever to the part it is controlling. A throttle blade on an engine and a shift rail on the transmission(stick shift). What's wrong with it? I drove hundreds and fixed em, at the dealer if we couldn't fix em, we had no where to tell the customers to bring it. Maybe I can help you, not for money, for the fact your asking, that's all. Get back to me, ok? Bye I drive a 93 Shadow myself.
