1992 Dodge Shadow

When going slow or idling, the motor seems to pause or slip out of gear. When I push on the gas pedal, it will catch and bolt forward. It doesn't really stall or die. It just doesn't work. I took it in for repairs and they gave me a tune-up which didn't help at all. Cost $300!

Do you think it may be the transmission? try it in reverse, and D! or D2 just to see. if it's same in all, check the transmission fluid. Mine did same thing, I had to change the trans fluid, it worked, ok?
